These books are basically the adult equivalent of The Babysitters’ Club, but I found this one even more shallow than Weiner’s two previous books, probably because there are four main characters rather than just one or two. I hate the litany of chick books that proclaim that all women are primarily interested in catching a man and spawning offspring, and her previous books were less focused on that theme than this one is.

A preachy, didactic story about the supposed horrors of adolescent sex, disguised as a racy teen novel. A few hilarious passages, though.

This book was shallow and lacking in redeeming value, much like the dot-com era which it describes with unquestioning worship. The author came across as uninformed, I mean, it doesn’t take that much research to figure out that no, San Mateo is not “the heart of Silicon Valley”.
