A story about "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (Theatrical Release)" — 1 year ago
This movie is super brutal, mostly because it has the trappings of something that could be fun and cute (great soundtrack, great city, Michael Cera, interesting and inventive plot) and than it just does not go anywhere.
Nothing is cohesive, and the only reason why anyone would keep watching is to see what completely random event will happen next, and how the characters will act completely out of character. There is disgusting puke jokes, though the drunk girl is quite good. There are some good lines 99 percent of the time delivered by Cera. But there are just so man inauthentic moments and holes in the script as if there was no more than one draft of it and than they just went with it
There is so much promise and so little delivery with this flick.
And it is really difficult to feel bad for Norah. And the exposition that her dad is a big shot is so annoyingly heavy handed. We get it.
I’m not mad I am just disappointed.
