After seeing Soylent Green, I was intrigued to read the original novel. I love sci fi, especially classic movies such as this. The book was really good, sort of in the same vein as 1984. For those of you who are fans of the movie, the book is very different. Where soylent green plays the key role in the movie, the main idea in the book is overpopulation in the year 1999. (The book was written about 50 years earlier). I do recommend this book, I really enjoyed it. You just have to have no expectations.

I loved this book! I would love to go to Shan-grila! This book, I know I am going to reread again and again. You feel so good after reading this. This is a classic!

I never read this in high school, and I really wanted to read it. So I finally picked it up. I just didn’t get it. This is a classic? I didn’t like Holden. And not just that I didn’t like him….I didn’t care about him at all. I wish I still hadn’t read it.
