A story about "The Simple Living Guide" — 6 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

So far this book is quite interesting, though it is somewhat amusing to find a book of this size on a topic like simple living. One of the main points the author makes is that simple living is about living deliberately; you can accomplish it any way you like and do any thing you like, so long as you are aware of what it means you’ll have to give up. If you make that choice consciously, you’re living simply.

A story about "The Library" — 6 years ago

Of course, I work at a library, so I’m pretty much destined to like this book. But the story is quick and funny, and the illustrations are wonderful. Visit your own library and get this book for yourself.

A story about "Gus and Button" — 6 years ago

Have you seen these books? They’re inspiring. You’ll never think about pumpkin-carving in the same way again.

WORTH CONSUMING!

A bittersweet book, very short so you won’t have to take too much time out to read this.

A story about "I'm Gonna Like Me (rpkg): Letting Off a Little Self-Esteem" — 6 years ago

This is an awesome book! The text is good but it’s the illustration that really rocks. The detail is amazing. Make sure to give yourself a good half hour even though it’s a pretty short book; you’ll want to make sure to study every page for the little things.

A story about "The True Story of the Three Little Pigs" — 6 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Amusing reversal of the standard fairy tale.

A story about "The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig" — 6 years ago

This book is written hilariously, with some very modern updates. (“But the pig wasn’t called big and bad for nothing. He went and fetched his pneumatic drill and smashed the house down.”) But the story is king, and the ending is wonderful. Read this to your open-minded youngsters!

A story about "The City of Ember" — 6 years ago

This book reminded me a lot of “This Time of Darkness” by (I believe) H.M. Hoover. Both are very good books.

A story about "Project Princess (The Princess Diaries, Vol. 4 1/2)" — 6 years ago

I read through this book(let) in about 45 minutes last night. It was cute and enjoyable but certainly nothing resembling substantial, though given the size, this is not exactly shocking. Honestly, how much would you expect an author to fit in fifty small pages? Worth reading but not necessarily worth buying… check your library.

A story about "Aria of the Sea" — 6 years ago

Wow. This is a great book. Mood altering and spiritual in a way that most young adult books aren’t. The beginning felt a little clumsy but the book got better and better, and I was very sad when it ended. I’m not a person who says that a lot, nor do I usually say “I couldn’t put it down!” but in this case, I read the whole thing today. Highly recommended.
