It’s good… considering it was written by a 15-year-old. Not considering that fact, it’s mediocre; many of the characters are under developed and the plot is somewhat contrived. Still, it was enjoyable enough to read; I just wouldn’t recommend it unless you have time to kill and no better books on hand.
I’m on page 168 and have to take it back to the library, so that’s where I need to pick it up again.
At the behest of my friends, I started this series. Luckily, the library has all three in the trilogy. Unfortunately, I breezed right through the first two only to find that I would be waiting a long time for the third (I was the fourth person in line for the library’s only copy). But then! Leanna left a copy of this book on my desk with a note saying she decided to buy it and I could read it. Hurrah!
I bought this book a year or more ago, and it was one of those “I HAVE to read this!” things. Then I didn’t read it. Now that I’ve started, I think my spontaneous, OCD purchase may be redeemed. This book teaches us how to pray in an ancient way that is unknown to most of us but could probably benefit us. I’m still in the theoretical part of the book but I’m looking forward to making this practical.
