A story about "The Complete Anne of Green Gables Boxed Set (Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea, Anne of the Island, Anne of Windy Poplars, Anne's House of Dreams, ... Rainbow Valley, Rilla of Ingleside)" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Loved the books. Loved the series on PBS. I’ve found such an interesting array of people (women people, that is) are huge fans of this series – tattoed “Suicide Girls” types, women’s studies majors, theatre geeks to, well, myself. Why, one friend at my last job even made a trip last summer of visiting all the places in the Anne books. What fun!

A story about "Baby Carrots and Almond Butter" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Carrots with nut butters are one of my all-time favorite snacks – it combines two of favorite food textures, crunchy and creamy, and it’s sweet, filling, and filling with protein, not just sugar and carbs.

A white tea, this pleases my black-tea-loving palate. It is pretty and wonderfully fragrant, made with jasmine and rosebuds.

With banana, fresh blueberries, almond milk, raw almond butter, and just a dash of cinammon.

Yummy!

A story about "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" — 3 years ago

This was okay, but I remember liking the first one better (I can’t remember exactly why [maybe I should rent it], but I remember finding the first more refreshing, surprising, and generally delightful. Here, the storyline felt slower and a bit tedious. The effects were good – I quite enjoyed reading Bill Nighy’s facial expressions underneath his Davy Jones / Evil Undead Squid costume – and there were a couple of really good one-liners. Still looking forward to #3. I find that #2 in a trilogy often ends up being the one I least enjoy, anyway.

A story about "YouTube" — 3 years ago

Okay, so I realize YouTube is really big right now, so I’m behind the times in just having discovered it but, OMG, I love it! People have posted 80’s vidoes that I thought I would never again get to enjoy (there are probably still some VHS copies at my Dad’s house, but, like I said VHS). Here, people have brilliantly posted videos by The Jam and Style Council, Japan and Spandau Ballet and Heaven 17 and Blancmange and even Snakefinger and – well I could go on – and not only the vidoes that I remember from my local video show, but also performances from TOTP and so on. I’m looking forward to sussing out more, and then creating playlists…

I am in heaven!
