—it is not vulgar
why I like this book? 100 reasons:
-it writes about nomads, I am myself a nomad
-it writes about scientific facts,
-It shows people like me, trying to fix electronics or other examples (Joyce)
-it refers to Saskatchewan, even in faraway places. Saskatchewan is the mythical place home(barley fields in wind).
- it refers to immigration and Latin America
-it has literary value and fascinating narrative
-it gives me many clues and information about Canada
I read it without stop one day
Evn if it is made in 199, it looks like an 80’s movie
I recommend it
i am not great fan of cartoon movies but this one is very good
Funny all the way, fast paced, excellent graphics
it gives a good description of what happened, so that we can see the events of the kidnapping. It has good imaging.
on the other hand, it is kind of those washy movies that want you to feel positive but don’t add substance and don’t explain why that tragedy happened
as 300 this movie is cartoonish
You shouldn’t look for any psychological or political or philosophical insight. See it as another Superman or Batman. With a difference. Unlike these supernatural heroes, V enjoys slitting the throats of his enemies( see the scene when he fights the cops). This modern hero is a bad one, fit for the generation of youngsters who like violent video games.
“My hair was cut. I was tortured. I was tortured” Lol
A rat refusing food. Lol. A perfect cartoon otherwise, but hey I passed long time ago the age when I enjoyed Superman style movies.
boring, i couldn’t watch it, very not funny
some songs are interesting, great special effects and visualization
on the other hand the story is pretty one-dimensional
My brother made a subscription to a publishing house specialised on eastern spirituality. So I had the occasion to browse some of these books and I learnt about Milarepa and read about buddhist mystic and wise tales.
This is what I was expecting to see in this movie. I was disappointed. Milarepa is a young boy who seeks revenge for the injustice done to his family. He masters the evil powers. And then he attacks his foes. We learn too little about the wisdom of his teachers and when it gets better, the movie stops. It has only 90 minutes.
It looks more like Lord of the rings. Not deep, bring the kids to see it.
ok, add some American stereotypes: a radio broadcasting football news, golf, Shrek, car race,
add some tearjerking apocalyptic scenes: a kid crying, the president making a statement, the evacuation
add some CGI and Will Smith, mix these ingredients and you get a movie for average Joe.
All is plain clear: we have the good guy, some virus gets loose and some men are transformed in zombies. No need for much intrigue or existential questions.
Also some things don’t make sense and i give 3 examples: why the cure for cancer will be announced as…just another news? why the zombies don’t attack when he’s injured and crawling, instead they unleash the dogs? what makes HIS blood so special that cures the virus?
