NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I love Marvel Comics, I love Bruce Campbell and the whole Sam Raimi Zombie thing. However, this book is not Peanute Butter and Chocolate.

I hated this book. It’s too bleak and sad. At least with other zombie flicks there is a glimmer of hope. Here, there is none. Plus, many of the things done, especially acts by Reed Richards is sooooooo not in character it’s frightening.

This volume makes me not want to read the originalMarvel Zombies or any other Zombie book by Marvel in the future.

WORTH CONSUMING!

The End is here and What The..?! says good-bye to many of it’s best recurring characthers, Milk & Cookies, Spider-Ham (thought it’s Spider-Ham 2099), and Forbush.

Only Wolverina is missing.

Worse, an story linking all previous mentioned characters never regrouped.

Forbush was a great take on the “Death of Superman”.

WOrth Consuming.

WORTH CONSUMING!

The end of this series draws near, but before it’s swan song, What The..?! regales us with an all-mutant parody book. Released to co-incide with the 30th anniversary of X-Men, there are some great tribute stories, a very good parodies and a way too long 2 part X-Force- Cable- who knows story that is lame, lame lame.

Still the good outweights the bad, so it’s worth consuming.

A review of "what the?!(regular series) Issue #24" — 5 years ago

This was a funny issue, but the whole Infinity War thing was parodied a few issues back- with Spider-Ham, Forbush, Wolverina, and Milk and Cookies, and it was much better. It was just too soon to do another parody of the same story arc. It’s like What If… doing “What if Thanos killed Death?” and then 4 issues later doing “What if Thanos killed Death, but Death was only Mostly Dead?” Just too old to be fresh.

WORTH CONSUMING!

More secrets are being revealed, but there are twists galore! And what’s more, there actually looks like there is hope for the human race.

And just as you start to think Y can’t go any farther- the series begins to focus on different aspects (like season 3 of Lost focusing on the Others). It’s just plain brilliant stuff.

Worth Consuming.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I thought I would have to wait longer than I did for more continuing adventures of the last man on earth. This series is great- and after 7 volumes, secrets are finally being revealed. This series is like ‘Lost"- only with more sex and expletives. It’s a great series and I think it’s only getting better.

WORTH CONSUMING!

When Marvel and the NFL set out to make a super hero, it marked a low point for both football and comics. Who stooped lowest remains to be seen, but this issue captures that lameness. If SuperPro was a horse, it’d been shot years ago.

I don’t remember any other stories, but the NFL parody merits a worth consuming!

WORTH CONSUMING!

Several great stories done in the real fashion of comics- the DC Fashion. No sterotypes, no gratuitous use of stars on the cover oly to be grace with a pin-up. Sure, Bats’ story is only 2 pages, but gosh darn it, at least it’s a story!

I love DC better than MArvel, and this issue, albeit a very short issue compare to most deluxe books, is very much worth consuming!

WORTH CONSUMING!

This Marunas kid stole my idea. In 1994, I came up with Kung Fu Santa, and I’ve been developing parodies ever since.

Did this guy know someone I went to school with? How did he get my idea.

Good book- appropriate for ages 9 and up. Nice use of limited color. Worth consuming, but gosh darn it, it’s my idea- so only 4 stars, the 5th goes to me!!!

A review of "House of M" — 5 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

The best MArvel storyline EVER!!! That’s right, better than Secret Wars, Better than Civil War, better than the Galaticus Saga.

This book rocks. I want to read the other House of M books!

NOt just worth consuming- it’s a must read book!
