GI Combat #282

Had the makings of a good story, but with robots that sing songs and enough German, British, and American stereotypes to choke a horse, before you know it, the book is over before it really got good.
Compare to a recent post on Adventure Comics #467, I would try to find this sequel in order to see how it finishes because the plot engrossed me!

The Thing #10

More drama than action. It does have a retool of the FF’s origin. Not so bad there, it eliminates the whole Reed Richards highjacking NASA snafu.
Good segway into the Secret Wars minseries.

The Plastic Man story was a hoot and I love every panel of it! Reminded me of the Plas cartoon in the very early 80s. The Solar story stunk. I dunno if it is because it was a first ever appearance story and it was left at a cliffhanger or what, but I have no intentions to find issue 468 to see if he is rescued from harm.

This is really the Marvel Adventures Avengers. This is not a problem for me, because I love this version of the World’s Greatest Heroes. This book is not a horror story, but was a giveaway for trick or treaters in comic stores in 2006.

Very cute sampler of stories. Very appropriate for kids, even ones who cannot read yet since about 3/4 of all of the word balloons have pictures of what everyone is trying to say instead of words.
For myself, it’s childish, but I love free comics and I love to review stuff in hopes you the parent buy the right books for your child.
