A story about "Dogfight" — 2 years ago
The last scene made it worthwhile.

Excellent movie, but it ended too soon. But then, maybe that is part of the charm.
This movie is awful. It’s all fluff and no substance. Pure sentimentality.
I love this movie. It was good to see young people at least making an attempt to have values, even though the guy in the movie was not doing that good a job of following them. I say that even though I am not a religous person. I grew up but no longer am Catholic, but it was reminiscent of my growing up.
I enjoyed this movie to a degree, but I didn’t think it was very good, if that makes any sense. I found the storyline too repetitive. They just had the same basic event happen but rotated the characters through that same experience. It’s like the writers out of ideas. I didn’t find any of the characters likeable. I didn’t like the idea of how happy the brunette bi girl was to hear Isold say that they could renew their “girlfriend-ness” every week. How desparate could this girl be? I also think that the lady’s man professor will never, ever be able to stick to a marriage. I thought his wedding at the end was ridiculous. It’s like they were trying to make everything end happily when it was obvious that the circumstances as chaotic as they were weren’t going to end up that way.
I watched the movie first, starring Meg Ryan. Mark Ruffalo also played in it, who is one of my favorite actors. The movie was much better than the book.
