A story about "Blue Like Jazz: Nonreligious Thoughts on Christian Spirituality" — 2 years ago
Christianity from a more realistic perspective – minus all the churchy words and traditional ways of looking at it. I love Don’s writing style too.

Some good tidbits here. I like that it hits on dating without setting specific guidelines as if every Christian should make exactly the same choices about dating.
Another impressive J.E. book. I particularly loved the stuff about spiritual warfare. I think Christians, at least those in the more traditional denominations, tend to ignore this part of our faith, despite it’s extreme relevence to our lives. I’m also really keen on the issue of Christians being REALLY ALIVE, instead of living some sort of dead religion that attracts no one nor reflects God.
This book is so amazing! It had a somewhat slow start, in my opinion, but once I got going, I found a ton of useful insights on the issue of desire and why it’s unChristian to kill desire. it’s awesome!
