Gritty — 3 years ago

Although I’m not a huge fan of Paul Walker, he was pretty solid in this movie. As Joey Gazelle (is that connected to the title, hmmm?), he runs into a bit of trouble with some dirty cops, a stolen gun, & some mob business, so you can say he’s got his hands full. The movie itself is gritty, dark, fast-paced, and has so much profanity, it’d make a sailor blush. I like the action scenes, the plot, the non-smiling kid caught in the middle, & the twists in the movie. If you’re not into blood-gushing gun fights or heavy violence, I suggest you watch something else because Running Scared is chock full of it.

A warning: I wouldn’t watch this movie with children around. I’ve learned new curse words just by watching it.

A review of "Bleach - Anime Series" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Bleach is an excellent anime probably suitable for 13+ or the PG-13 crowd. Mainly an action series focusing on a young teenage boy named, Kurosaki Ichigo, and his transformation into a “shinigami” or death god. It’s a fairly fast-paced anime; good, clean animation, a cool soundtrack, and the intro/outro music is catchy. I particularly like the Soul Society arc & the intro/outro music for that. Bleach follows most action anime storylines about a boy & his newfound powers; he seems to get better & stronger after defeating his enemies & he makes friends along the way. Also, it seems more geared towards a mature audience, so don’t expect anything kiddie like Pokemon. There’s plenty of blood & violence, but it’s not gory. There’s humor, drama, action, & a subtle romance, so it’s definitely worth a look. Right now, the anime centers around the “bounto” storyline, which is probably just a filler, but it should pick up where the manga leaves off shortly.

Highly recommended. Once you watch it, you won’t be able to get enough of it. Much like Naruto, but better in my opinion.
