First of all let me say that I’m a huge fan of the Vampire Chronicles novels – why I’m recommending this movie is not because it’s faithful to the book. Far from it in fact!

I’m recommending it because it provides some of the most entertaining fodder for laughing at that any self-respecting VC fan could hope for. A Lestat with dark hair? A Marius with almost no hair? And the list goes on. Don’t miss the gag reel either in the Special Features.

Definitely something you can curl up to watch with a bowl of popcorn – mostly so you can throw popcorn at the screen while shrieking with mirth.
