A story about "The Hour of Bewilderbeast" — 4 years ago
I’ve enjoyed this album, whose flow follows the course of a new relationship through to its dissolution. The album works as a whole, but there are a few good standalone songs as well.
I'm currently reading 8 books, listening to 4 albums, watching 15 movies, eating and drinking 2 food items, and consuming 8 other things.

Funny stuff. Worth it for the Lists alone.
Brilliant brilliant brilliant. But then, Jon Stewart was already my hero before I picked up this book.
I read this book by flashlight during a hurricane after the power went out in my apartment. It freaked. me. out.
I’ve been struggling with this book for a while, actually. The subject is interesting enough, but the author tends to repeat his points quite a bit, making it difficult for me to maintain my interest. I set it aside a while ago, but may make another go at it.
It’s amazing how wonderfully subversive children’s literature can be. The Phantom Tollbooth is fun and literate and imaginative reading for adults and children alike.
I don’t know that this book holds up to repeated perusals, but it’s certainly an enjoyable read the first time through. I love Hornsby’s prose.
Absolutely fascinating. It loses steam partway through, at which point Gladwell seems to start repeating himself and belaboring his point(s). However, the first few chapters, with the discussion of “mavens” and “connectors” and the section about the research behind Sesame Street and Blues Clues were so utterly fascinating that I couldn’t put the book down.
One of the authors was a professor of mine in graduate school. Nightly News Nightmare posits that the “problem” with television news isn’t bias - which, when present, most people can recognize and mentally correct for - but rather quality, with less coverage, minute-for-minute, of presidential campaigns, more of that time dominated by anchors and correspondents, and less time devoted to examination of the candidates and important issues.
I’ve been blogging for a while, so the concepts covered in this book seemed fairly elementary to me. However, it might be a useful reference for someone who doesn’t understand blogs or is otherwise new to blogging.
