I enjoyed this book so much. Each chapter is alternatively a first person description of either a young Manchourian girl and a Japansese soldier, during the Mandchourian war between China and Japan.
The soldier is assigned to dress up as a Chinese and go play go to discover possible spies and there he meets the girl…

Not a bad book but the author twists your arm a little bit too much in the end and some possibly interesting plots were totally botched.

I absolutely adored these books. You just read right through them and feel hungry and unhappy once it’s over. The world and charaters Zelazny created are fascinated. The “ambiance” of the books will just get to you and absorb you to the end.

I had been terrified by “The Omen” when I watched it at the age of 13 (or maybe 14…) and then I read this book…Just brilliant!!!

I had the best time, every time I read it and let me tell you it has been quite a few times. There are so many memorable quotes or moments :-) One of those books that stick with you for life.
