Can John McPhee produce a ‘bad’ book? From the clever beginning coordinates through the lights of Winnemucca to the very end.. McPhee takes readers on a geologic journey of earth’s history and points us to the places we can still see it changing, today.

Undoubtedly one of THE best books I’ve read in my 30+ years – Alvah Simon paints a brilliant, raw picture of adventure and challenge in the grip of the Arctic. His storytelling is as riveting as his story, and I sacrificed many many things for reading time with him.

Sometimes fun, sometimes disturbing – but always interesting. Mary Karr is raw and unapologetic, I appreciated that through every page.

I can’t stand nor identify with traditional selling, pressuring relationships or overt lures to purchase products or services. This book focuses on authentic relationship development as a means of attracting and keeping customers. A nice, refreshing alternative for those of us who want to form connections with clients above all else.

No doubt my strong connection to Nevada prompted me to pick this up, but it turned out to be relatively lukewarm, considering. Some interesting stories, and recognizable elements for those of us having experienced the place – so not a waste, but I did expect more.
