It might look a little like Blair Witch Project — 1 year ago
But in stark contrast, stuff actually happens here. A fun twist on your basic giant monster attack movie.

Seriously, this is a masterpiece. If I had to describe it, it would sound ludicrous and include a guy getting his brain shot out through his anus and fighting god so he can get back to earth and re-live his formerly useless life, and a group of people getting eaten by a giant whale and who consequently live inside it for a while.
See? Sounds insane. Yet the movie is brilliant with some incredible animation.
Okay, so “geeks” are hot. We get it. So why would you make a series geared towards the geeky audience and then go out of your way to insult them with lame computer nonsense-talk, unlikely plot twists, and lame deus ex machina tricks?
This series deserved to get canceled.
In retrospect, nobody should have been surprised when George Lucas turned around and raped our collective tender Star Wars childhood memories with his later atrocities. It all fits, the patterns were there.
But you owe it to yourself to see this, if only for the family-friendly Wookie softcore pr0n.
(note: Lucas was not directly involved in this I-can’t-stop-watching-trainwreck but if you are willing to whore out your creation like this…I’m just saying)
Witty dialogue, wry Seinfeld observations, the toils of modern life, high-speed chases, and showing off the slow but inexorable advance of CGI. By no means a classic for the ages but it was obviously not intended to be. Enjoyable.
I got through this little blurb without making any lame bee-related jokes too, yay for me!
Friggin’ finally! The Dual Strike is still one of my most-played (and well-loved) DS games, but it was time for a new installment. Yay!
Confessions of a Superhero documents the daily lives of four superhero impersonators who work everyday on Hollywood Boulevard, in front of (not with) Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, hoping to make ends meet by accepting tips in exchange for taking pictures with tourists while striving for a breakthrough in the film industry.
Viewed by some as nothing but annoyances, costumed panhandlers, this documentary manages to make the characters come alive, and you can’t help but sympathize with their struggle (even if they sometimes weird or creep you out too)
The cinematography and flow of the story is masterful and makes it a joy to watch.
A deceptively simple concept, hard-core shoot ‘em up action, lovely graphics – the Wii needed a “simple” shooter like this. Very addictive, and guaranteed to get your adrenalin pumping. It can be played with the classic controller, which feels very much like playing Robotron: 2084 (if you know this game, you are getting old), or alternatively with the remote and nunchuk. Surprisingly, this works really well. Co-op and versus two player modes complete this little gem.
If you’re up for a little bit of retro gaming in a shiny new jacket (and what a pretty jacket it is), then do yourself a favor and buy this one.
It is gorgeous to look at, the controls handle smoothly, the bosses are suitably impressive (but not too difficult), and the storyline is grand.
Starting with a pirate invasion on federation territory and escalating to an eventual assault on the pirate homeworld and a grand finale on the mysterious planet where phazon originated, MP3: Corruption takes you for a nerve-wrecking and thrilling ride in the universe of Samus the bounty hunter.
I finally got around to a 100% completion today. Which in itself is saying a lot; I never bother to go back and pick up all the little bits and pieces.
The first 15 minutes I was thinking “WTF?” and then it drew me in. Yes, I am a geek. I’m half-tempted to fire up a copy of MAME and get my DK on. Well-executed documentary.
