Cute story, and Tim Burton doing what he does best: dark, twisted, funny animation. With romance.

I’m not that big on singing in movies, but it wasn’t overdone. The sets and characters are exquisite, and the lighting is perfect. In. Every. Scene.

My only complaint was that it was rather short.

Excellent album!

I kinda went into this expecting a cheesy miserable failure of yet another superhero move. It was cheesy allright, but I enjoyed it. It’s not deep or anything, but come on! It’s a comic book adaptation. I wouldn’t go to the cinema for it but for a rainy thurday evening it did nicely.

what a godawful Matrix clone. The gunfights are nice (if a bit daft) but the movie as a whole is terrible. The excuse I have is that there was nothing else on TV, but honestly, there are millions of ways to waste your time that are better than watching this snorefest.

Although normally I’m not into the fantasy genre this book was very intriguing, well-written and has a complexity that goes beyond the average fantasy novel. A book where the main character is very unlikeable but still drags you along on his epic journey to defeat evil from destroying the land.

I recently stumbled across this again for the first time since I was a kid. Back then I loved the scifi stuff, I still do, but I also discovered a pretty deep script this time around, despite the VERY cheap special effects. The characters are complex, not exactly heroes and fighting uphill every step of the way.

I loved this movie. It made me wish I had some LSD; and then it obviated that need with the lavish and stunning visuals. Tim Burton rocks. Depp plays an interesting take on Wonka, a far cry from Gene Wilders performance. Not Depps best performance but it worked.
