A story about "Red Storm Rising" — 5 years ago

Very actionpacked novel about a thought escalation of a seemingly small terrorist incident in Russia. It’s extremely detailed in describing the tactics and technical details of modern warfare, and illustrates Clancy’s deep insight to this area very well. Requires interest in this topic if you want to enjoy it to its fullest.

A story about "The Lord of the Rings" — 5 years ago

Excellent hardcover edition with Alan Lee’s beautiful illustrations. A bit on the heavy side, though ;)

A story about "The Silver Hand: Song of Albion Book 2 (Song of Albion Trilogy)" — 5 years ago

The Silver Hand continues the story of Llew, an outsider in the world of Albion, who continues his attempt to get his former roommate back to their own world, where he belongs.

However, the world of Albion is in a state of turmoil as the prophecy of The Silver Hand is fulfilled, taking away the sovereignty that was bestowed upon Llew, along with his right hand and the eyes of the Chief Bard of Albion.

The book contains moments of laughter, but mainly despair and sadness for the reader as Llew and Tegid, his bard, build a new kingdom to oppose the threat that inevitably edges closer to a final confrontation.

Arguably one of the better fantasy novels of today.

A story about "A Wizard of Earthsea (The Earthsea Cycle, Book 1)" — 5 years ago

This is one of those books that I always return to when I can’t find anything else to read. The story just never gets boring, and the beautiful usage of the English language is breathtaking. I guess tales of boys becoming men who become wizards will never fail to catch the attention of most.
