WORTH CONSUMING!

warning: brings back all those feelings your newly pubescent self had when being tormented by your peers. unless you were a jock or cheerleader. now you’re entertainment for the freaks you used to make fun of. buying your hummers to make up for your lack of libido from years of steroid abuse. your expressionless face smoothed by botox injections. hmmm…wonder if you can guess which i was from this rant? ;-)

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

it’s not that i’m easily offended or anything. and i like south park. but the couple of giggles weren’t worth sitting through the whole thing.

A story about "Le Battement D'ailes du Papillon / Happenstance (French Language With Optional English Sub-Titles)" — 4 years ago

definitely enjoyable, but not as much fun as amelie. maybe it’s amelie in training.

A story about "Wallace & Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit" — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This morning, I actually managed to be at a theater at 10am to see a sneak preview of Wallace & Gromit – The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. If you like the Wallace & Gromit shorts, you’ll absolutely love this. I think it’s even better. Kids will like it because there are silly looking characters, but pay attention. It is full of adult sight gags, amusing signs and so on. I want to see it again because I’m sure I missed about half of them. It’s much, much better than Chicken Run. Seriously, you could hear the adults in the audience laughing out loud constantly.

A story about "Spun (Unrated Version)" — 4 years ago

wow, almost too much reality here. i used to know people who hadn’t quite reached this level of meth addiction, but very close. made me really glad to not be dealing with that kind of crap anymore.

A story about "Great Vegetarian Cooking Under Pressure" — 4 years ago

it is worth it to buy a pressure cooker if you cook nothing but risotto in it. i also enjoy the stews and soups in this book, especially in the wintertime. very satisfying and quick to cook after a long day.

A story about "The Artful Vegan: Fresh Flavors from the Millennium Restaurant" — 4 years ago

definitely special occasion food unless you don’t have to work. each recipe actually involves several recipes like “portobello carpaccio over carrot and parsnip fettuccine with raw pumpkin seed-ancho chile pesto.”

A story about "Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone" — 4 years ago

even after converting to a vegan diet, this cookbook is still a great reference to have on my shelf. the dishes range in complexity from very simple to somewhat involved. everyone will find something they can use here.
