All Consuming

I'm currently reading 2 books, listening to 1 album, watching 0 movies, eating and drinking 1 food item, and consuming 2 other things.

10 entries have been written about this.

WORTH CONSUMING!

No, ultraserious audiophile who listens to “bleep boop bip bop” all day and only likes a band until someone else hears about it, I do not plan to act embarassed that you found this album on my iPod. No.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I’m, uh…I’m afraid to actually start this one.

You know? You know where you’ve got a series and you just love the characters so much? And you’re deathly afraid of what’s going to happen to them if you keep reading?

If I don’t read the book, nothing bad can happen to you, Dustfinger!

Now I have "Jackson" stuck in my head. — 43 weeks ago

Phoenix seems to have a direct psychic link to Johnny Cash, and his voice box seems to have a similar link.

Pity he didn’t have a better movie to channel it for.

P.S. Dear FX channel, HOW did you make this movie run for FOUR HOURS? HOW?

Absolutely worthless. I am not even interested in seeing VI at this point. Someone put this series out of its misery.

A story about "Saw IV (Unrated Widescreen Edition)" — 44 weeks ago

The fourth film in the series is somewhat redeeming. The lame storyline continues to stumble along, but this time the twist at the end is actually worthwhile—simply because so many people couldn’t get it. Anything that shakes complacent A-follows-B audiences gets points in my book.

As said storyline deteriorates, the traps become more involved and impressive.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

The series just keeps going downhill. This is the most pointless and unnecessary of the Saw movies, and it shows.

But I will give it credit for stepping up the traps. I’m fond of the Angel Rack.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Larger group, bigger setting, completely loses the intimate claustrophobia of the original.

Not as impressive in terms of characters or traps.

Twist ending much easier to guess.

A good example of how near-mandatory sequels are ruining modern horror.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Original = best. I was really sorry to see this franchised.

Tight, intimate, claustrophobic, psychological. Incredible for what they managed on their budget and shooting time.
