A review of "Ma Bar bubble bar" — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Another yummy smelling bubble bar, but not one of my faves. This wasn’t as moisturising as others I have used and I found it difficult to break a section off without the whole lot falling to pieces.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Gave this a try as it was recommended by a friend, I really liked the smell and the solid texture of the bar however I found it took FOREVER to rub the stuff into my long hair. It was a little painful when directly applying to the scalp so I tried rubbing it into my hands first but that didn’t work quite as well. The shampoo is very cleansing and moisturising, just didn’t suit me. The bars last a long time so really good value if this works for you!

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is the first bubble bar I ever used and I was instantly hooked! Absolutely delicious sweet smell, and a lovely pink colour which is great for when you’re feeling girly. The amount of bubbles you’ll get out of it is amazing and they don’t just dissolve away like normal bubble bath. This really softened my skin as well, it only took a minute or two soaking and my whole body felt silky smooth. A complete winner and now I’m buying more!

WORTH CONSUMING!

This conditioner is fabulous, it has a really yummy smell which lasts in your hair all day after washing. It’s very moisturising so I just apply to the ends to keep my hair soft & bouncy. A classic product that you need to have in your bathroom, and the big bottles last forever!

A review of "Sonic Death Monkey shower gel" — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is my all-time favourite item by Lush. It is a gentle cleanser and good for hair & body so it’s ideal for travelling. I can’t get enough of the scent, it really does smell like a chocolate orange. It lathers up well but sometimes the gel can be a bit runny. It’s one of the only products I know that is guaranteed to get men excited, they all seem to love the name and the smell!

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is my new favourite massage bar! A sweet delicate fragrance and it just melts right into your skin. Very light and not at all greasy so you can use it for self massage & moisturising as well as for sharing :) Would definitely buy it again, just a shame that it’s a limited edition one!

A review of "Fluff Bun" — 4 years ago

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I wasn’t so keen on the smell after I had put it in the bath, seemed very artificial and a bit sickly. Didn’t do much to soften my skin either. But overall this is a fun product and the bunny looks really cute.

Why I recommend "A Hedonist's Guide to Lisbon" — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is a fantastically useful guide book. For those who are bored of doing the typical tourist thing, this is perfect. The book describes the main districts of Lisbon and provides you with an easy way to get the most out of your stay in the city. Thanks to this book I crammed loads of fun things into my 4-day/3-night trip, including viewing art by the metro, eating dinner in a circus school restaurant, barhopping with the locals in Bairro Alto, finding the best spots for beautiful views over the city (the elevator and St George castle), relaxing on the beach at Cascais, watching some Fado music in Alfama, enjoying locally produced liquer and clubbing til the early hours. The book is really handy as it gives personal opinions, addresses & contact details and descriptions about the atmosphere, events, service & cost of all the places reviewed. The only criticism I have is that some of the photos do not fully show the true sense of awe and beauty you will get from being there in person – Lisbon is a must for any traveller and I am going back for more next summer!

A story about "Nina" — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is a delicious perfume- light, natural, and very sweet with yummy apple scents. Makes you feel innocent again! Great for wearing during the day as it’s not too overpowering.

Why I recommend "The Crafter Culture Handbook" — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Not just an instruction book, this also provides a look at the contemporary craft scene and brings up issues such as politics, ethics, consumerism, the environment, and creativity. All sorts of ideas are explored through different types of crafts, and there are short statements by and about the designers. Each sections contains a thought-provoking introduction, and follows with instructions & pictures showing you how to make & personalise the projects. The categories covered in the book are: needlecrafts, re-purposing & re-using, electronics, bath & beauty, homewares, knitting, and papercrafts. The projects are fun and creative, ranging from recycled clothing and bags, to computer hardware, to knitted war protest mittens. It’s a great mix between kitsch & modern and is a very interesting read.
