I have to be honest, I prefer the TV series and wouldn’t be rushing out to get the rest of the books, on the other hand I woudn’t not read them if given the opportunity.

This is the first in the series, Dr Temperence (Tempe)Brennan is helping to investigate some women’s deaths, some of which are starting to point to a serial killer. And it looks like the killer is getting closer to Tempe.

Instead of trying to make things more obvious and stepping the detectives through the evidence she takes matters into her own hands, and you can understand the frustration and annoyance for the detectives.

Honestly, I was underwhelmed. Yeah there were parts of it that I seriously liked but there were parts that just dragged on and on and on.

Bess Grady is doing photography in Mexico when she finds a village full of dead people. As more bodies mount she has to trust a man who seems to be playing both sides against the middle

Predictable Legal romance. What the doctor ordered after dealing with Knight Errant.

Interesting spiritual journey, to be read again.

Interesting story of a woman, her rescue dog, the multimillionaire who hires her and involves her in his messy private life and a wolf. An easy but compelling read.

There ain’t much more I can say about this but wow. I really need to get up and go to the next performance.

Interesting read. Georgian feeling period piece. A good mixture of politics, action and romance. I was first annoyed with the main characters and then came to like both Will and Lili, I both understood and empathised with the issues and problems they had. It was a different experience to see how the pair dug themselves further and further into misunderstanding with lies and half-truths. What happens when they start finding out the truth about each other and the real feelings they have for each other makes this a very compelling read.

A wonderful blend of myth and fiction, very readable and remarkably entralling. I want to find the remainder of the series NOW!

In some instances made me want to hunt up the authors and read more and in others was an interesting revisit to old friends
