A story about "Dogma (Special Edition)"

Dogma (Special Edition)

I was just reading the liner notes from my new Special Edition of Dogma, and the last paragraph warrants repeating:

“I was trying to spread the Word of God. Granted, I was using a shitload of dick and fart jokes to do it, but since the lord has a sense of humor, I always rationalized that, ultimately, He (or She) appriciated it – regardless of what a select few of His (or Her) yapping minions maintained. At least, fuck – I hope God’s got a sense of humor. If not, I’m really, really screwed.”

- Kevin Smith
10/25/2000

He knew that I wanted to hear the whole thing, so now I can!

I’m very much enjoying this whole album.

I know a few people who would hate it though! laugh

A story about "Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl (Two-Disc Collector's Edition)"

Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl (Two-Disc Collector's Edition)

by Gore Verbinski

It was on ABC tonight, and I was reminded of how great this movie really is. I want to see the second one.

Wishy-washy (rated 4 stars)

The Lake House (Widescreen Edition)

by Alejandro Agresti

I really enjoy the concept of time-travel, no matter what the vessel is. I enjoy the paradoxes that come from someone knowing the future, or trying to change the past. The more complex the scenerio, the more I tend to enjoy the book or movie.

Although I generally liked this film, I was rather frustrated by the ending. I was expecting a “life goes on,” “some things are unchangable,” kind of ending – but they went the happy, sappy route. I’m not meaning to be cynical, I just happen to be of the persuasion that I would rather see a movie that keeps me thinking well beyond the exit of the theater, than be patted on the head and told that I’m a good girl.

However, if you are the kind of person who only likes movies with happy endings, this one will not disapoint you.

Why I recommend "Minority Report (Widescreen Two-Disc Special Edition)"

Minority Report (Widescreen Two-Disc Special Edition)

I love the concept that knowing the future often leads to that future itself. I have a big problem when characters learn of the future, then try to change it. How can it be the future if it doesn’t happen?

That reminds me, I need to go mark Butterfly Effect…

It’s your Kids, Marty! Something’s gotta be done about your kids!”

I have to admit, I was a little dissapointed with the second and third films after the first one – but I still love them all dearly.

That fuckin’ guy. He made this flick “Sixteen Candles.” Not bad. There’s tits in it, but no bush, but Ebert over here don’t give a shit about that kind of thing ‘cause he’s, like, all in love with this John Hughes guy. He goes out and rents, like, every one of his movies. Fuckin’ “Breakfast Club,” where all these stupid kids actually show up for detention. Fuckin’ “Weird Science,” where this chick wants to take her gear off and get down, but oh no, she don’t ‘cause it’s a PG movie. And then, “Pretty in Pink,” which I can’t even watch with this tubby bitch anymore, ‘cause every time we get to the part where the redhead hooks up with her dream guy, he starts sobbin’ like a little bitch with a skinned knee and shit. And there’s nothing worse than watchin’ a fuckin’ fat man weep.

I love Jay!

It’s out today – and thanks to the wonders of iTunes, it’s now in my posession!

I’m already quite taken with “Until the End” the lyrics are beautiful.

Why I recommend "High Wire Live"

High Wire Live

by Willy Porter

Willy is an amazing artist that I had the pleasure of seeing live, in a very small venue (about 50 people). I bought this album after the concert, just because I enjoyed the concert so much. Listening to this album always takes me back to the little cafe in Palmer, Alaska where I heard him play.

I came in to work yesterday with my windows down, blaring “Crazy Bitch” and it was NOT the Radio edit. I was jammin’ so I didn’t notice the looks… until I parked. What a great tune!

A story about the last time I consumed "IV"

I can barely stop listening to it!!!

I got to see Godsmack in Concert on their IV tour, just this past April. We barely ever get concerts up here in AK – and Sully and his crew just ROCKED us hard!!! It was increadible! I don’t think I’ve ever been to a concert where everyone was SO into the music!

I think I need to add Sully to my list of people that I want to meet. :)
