Why I recommend "The Sea Inside" — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

A heart breaking story beautifuly told. No matter where you stand on the politics behind this issue, you can’t help but be touched by this man’s life. This movie was a very human approach to the complexities of life and death.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I love this movie. I’ve yet to return it to Netflix because I want to keep watching it. Very funny.

Why I recommend "8 Steps to a Pain-Free Back: Natural Posture Solutions for Pain in the Back, Neck, Shoulder, Hip, Knee, and Foot" — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

If you are having back problems – this is the book to buy.

A review of "Antonia's Line" — 4 years ago

This is one of my favorite movies. It has everything you could want – a great plot and characters that you just fall in love with.

A story about "Walden" — 4 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

This was a beautiful book and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys nature, or who may want to view things in a different light. Thoreau is a very poetic writer and I often read the same paragrah two or three times just to fully absorb his words.

I agree with a previous poster before me that said the conclusion was one of the better parts of the book. He captured the importance of self-discovery so perfectly. I was struck by how personal and intimate his writing was throughout. It was if he was writing a letter across generations.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I am usually not a big fan of audio books, but Ishmael was the first book I listened to using an audio book, and it was a very different experience and one that I highly recommend for this book. As you listen, you actually feel as if the gorilla is talking to you, and you are free to conceptualize what he is talking about. While listening, I often replayed certain parts that I felt were most poignant or stopped it to for a second so I could relate my life experiences to the dialogue.

The audio book is also beneficial because two or more people can listen at once and discuss the topics afterward.

Very good book.

A review of "Endgame, Vol. 1: The Problem of Civilization" — 5 years ago

This is a very good book, but if you’re looking for something to make you feel all warm and cuddly and well … not give you nightmares at night, then this may not be your book. This book is illuminating, and like all things that are honest and truthful, its a little bit scary. This is for people who want to inform themselves, and who are open to another perspective on the culture we live in.

Why I recommend "Tofu" — 5 years ago

I started eating tofu when I went vegan some time ago, though I have to admit that I have had a relapse (I know, I know). Anyway, I still love tofu. It is the best thing ever, and why some people have such a hard time getting the nerve to eat it, is beyond me. It’s bean curd people, not pig fart. Anyway, my favorite soup is spinach tofu. mmmmmmmmm. It may not look to appetizing, being that it’s basically green soup with white pieces of tofu floating around but believe you me its yummy.

A story about "The Lord of the Rings" — 5 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I started reading the trilogy many moons ago and I am almost done with the third book. This book is really deep – I recommend it for anybody. And yes it is long. I mean the movies were each 3 hours so I’m sure you can imagine what the books are like, but it is worth it.
