A story about "Written Worlds: Reading and Writing Cultures" — 3 years ago

Here’s a publisher’s description of the book:

Harper Collins College Publishers, 1993 Instructor’s Edition, Instructor’s Manual Included. This book is meant to suggest that written words serve two important purposes. They are ways to save thoughts and record events, but they are first ways to think and act. They create their own universe of language, entwined with daily experience. Excerpts from famous stories, poems and prose along with questions and analysis fill this important book….

they also list the book for sale for $113.oo (!!)

A story about "Art History" — 3 years ago

Another great book in my “library”,,,this book was a standard required text for my University’s Art History survey courses, priced at the campus bookstore for any where between $75 to $125—and when my divison was being dismantled, they wanted to get rid of all books in the “college library” (each college w/in the school had their own reference library).
We had our pick, but no one else was really interested, and i walked away with this one and about 10 other wonderfully scholarly text—For Free!!
