Outkast from childhood May goes on a killing spree when no one will love her. Angela Bettis caught the awkwardness and pain of the main character very well. She is a fantastic actress that should get way bigger roles. I root for the underdog by default. This feels weird when the protagonist is the underdog and is totally messed in the head. The only thing I didn’t like about this movie is the whole shy people=murderers thing.

All snobery aside. All nitpicking at the plot aside. All “if only’s” and other comparisions, because I could pretty much hate any movie ever made if I really wanted to.

This is my favorite movie.

It’s about a young woman, who is definitely a Four on the Enneagram, trying to find herself and her relation to her mother. The movie is visually intoxicating, and has a lot of interpretation and symbolism. All characteristics rank high in my brain.

I had a strawberry shortcake doll and whenever I maliciously squeezed her in the stomach she expelled an airy strawberry scent. As in that’s how the doll was made-it was supposed to. She was my only scent-producing doll.

For my birthday party one year, which was a sleepover with about eight girls including me aged 14-16, I decided I was going to rent this movie. Needless to say there were lots of squealing, dancing and mock strip teases. Good call!

I really liked the solo done in Spanish. I’m pretty sure they showed the movie in reverse. Not scene by scene just the last half and then the second half. Though there’s still a couple holes in that theory.

He wore the same shoes as Clark Kent and as Superman-trivial, yes I know-but it kinda bugged me that no one predictably went “uh hey those shoes look familar..” It just seems like it would of already topped the “oh I saw that coming..” moments. I still enjoyed the movie though. I liked it when the kid kicked ass.

I saw Rubin Carter speak sometime after this movie came out. Seeing him speak tied in with seeing the movie beautifully! He made some jokes about how he was portrayed and some excellant observations the movie missed.
