WORTH CONSUMING!

Beauty is not only about what’s outside (in a man’s clothing for a change). Man of few words, with nothing to lose, makes changes for the better for those around him.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Seeing this movie makes me realize that we Americans do not appreciate, nor value enough, the peaceful handing over of power when one man is voted out, and another in.
Burma is one such land where the woman who won an overwhelming victory in 1990 cannot step into her role as president because the military gov’t refuses to hand over power.

A story about "The Marrying Man" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I thought the four buddies were nostalgic for me. Took me back to high school and college when we all had a group of folks that “we rolled with.”
Before marriage, family, jobs, and the pressures of earning a living kind of takes it all away.
Liked the way Alec Baldwin’s buddies stayed with him.
Also, this film like the last one I watched, introduced two stars to marriage, as Baldwin and Basinger were married after this film.

Two Pearls:
1.) Make sure to SCHEDULE vacation time. Dont wait until you retire.
2.) Take a deep breath when you’re beginning to feel overwhelmed. Oxygen to the brain is a good thing.

A story about "Prêt-à-Porter" — 2 years ago

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Never before have I seen a movie with such talent assembled, (Julia Roberts, Sophia Loren, Kim Basinger et al), and been so disappointed. What a pretentious, piece of crap! This was supposed to be funny? I couldnt wait for the movie to end.
1/10 , only because Sophia Loren is a medical marvel

My wallpaper and I are fighting a duel to the death. One or other of us has got to go.” Great quote alluded to in the movie…

WORTH CONSUMING!

A great ensemble cast, a story true to life as JW was dying at the time this was filmed. I also like “lasts”. This was JW’s last feature film.

Historical Fiction at its mediocre-est.... — 2 years ago

Although the patient who loaned me this book told me I would come out of it diskliking McKinley, I didnt.

I did learn that Leon Csogolz, the man who killed him, is pronounced phonetically “chawl-gosh”, and that it was really arrogant doctors (they refused to use that newfangled xray machine from Edison) that killed McKinley in their efforts to find the bullet.

Why I recommend "The Spitfire Grill" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I like movies that have allegories and symbolism. Of course, with IMDB, I cheated because I didnt pick up on the ton of symbolism that is in this movie.
A dazzler!

For those of you who dont like “fishy fish”, this is a very mild, extremely tasty fish to eat.
