A story about "Harper" — 2 years ago
I think this was a great detective story. Wonderful ensemble acting, and fantastic to see L.A scenery as it was in the sixties.
I'm currently reading 4 books, listening to 1 album, watching 6 movies, eating and drinking 2 food items, and consuming 2 other things.

This guy spent so much time with his liberal pontificating that his title topic was sort of an afterthought.
Oh, and he loved to brag about what a great lawyer he was, and all the money he got for the poor and down-trodden.
What a blowhard…

The alternate name for thismovie is “Try Seventeen”. As in you think it’s hard going celibate for three years, try seventeen. That was Elijah’s response to a characters lament that he hadnt had sex in three years.
I must have been a virgin way longer than the average. Is this movie saying most all 17 year olds have had sex?
I’m a huge fan of B Fraser, however, after the Albert Brooks character discovers him down in Mexico, there just isnt much to this story.
Elvis was not doing his “goody-goody” image in this film. He was more like James Dean, a contemporary of that time.
Fascinating to note that Elvis refused to watch this film, as the co-star he was smitten with died two weeks after filming.
Seeing this 1991 movie made me remember that I almost forgot what a beautiful woman Sandra Bullock used to be.
Age gets to all of us, I spose..
Something for the beach, or at the gym. Predictable in its “unpredictability” in that the cleanest cut, most unobtrusive suspect ends up being the murderer.
The setup to the story was great, the explanation was terrible. Quite a cast of characters got roped into this movie. I understand this was done by the same fellows who did “Ghost Ship”. I liked that movie much better.
The blue tones in the movie were done well.
This is the first Elvis movie I have ever seen, and I think the songs AND his acting arent particularly bad.
Plus, we get to see two TV icons in this flic: namely, Marilyn from the Munsters and Schneider from One Day at a Time.
I literally watched this movie in 2-3 minute increments over a period of about six months. Obviously, I was never gripped by it.
