WORTH CONSUMING!

Mumbai: was once called Bombay until 1996

The Three Musketeers (Les Trois Mousquetaires) is a novel by Alexandre Dumas, père. It recounts the adventures of a young man named d’Artagnan after he leaves home to become a musketeer. D’Artagnan is not one of the musketeers of the title; those are his friends Athos, Porthos, and Aramis—inseparable friends who live by the motto “one for all, all for one” (“un pour tous, tous pour un”). I think the cartoon you watched as a youth was called The Three Musketeers by Hanna Barbara.

This movie was also significant in that it will end up being the last one Stephanie, Yvonne, & I saw together.
I got the question wrong in the movie. I could have sworn the answer was D”Artagnan because I remembered the cartoon.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I think my daughter Stephanie summed it up best when she said that this was a “cute” movie, and not necessarily funny in the “Toy Story” sort of vein.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Too long, I literally thought the movie had ended five times before it actually did.
I liked the historical aspect of it, however.
Seen with Russ/Laura in San Ramon.

I dunno, humor and suspense rarely mix well, and this flick was no exception to that rule.

Maybe because I didn’t seem to get it, and my daughter and wife did; I rate this poorly.
However, I did enjoy the rare time when all three of us were heavily engrossed in a home video.

I kind of liked the outfits, but the movie had way too many unexplained happenings and loose ends that were never tied up.

WORTH CONSUMING!

It portrayed the repressive nature of most religions, and really played up the hypocritical part.
What’s with those funky crinkly white collars?

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Aside from the “Aha Music Video” editing, this movie totally blew.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I enjoyed it mainly from a historical perspective as I vaguely remember the million man march of 1995.

Major props to IMDB for revealing such interesting trivia as: Dwayne was a stepchild (I totally missed this), the $19.79 ringup at the convenience store was homage to the Smashing Pumpkins video that the directors had done, and that Grandpa’s first name was Edwin.
