Their earliest stuff is the best and this a testimony of that, the songs have got that guitar sound of motown junk, they are quite complex lyrically and get to a point where sometimes you can’t even hear what James is singing, but it all adds to the lyrical driving force that propels the songs forward (think Holy Bible, do you get that too?) they sound a little more amatuerish in this EP but these are lyrics written with Richey Edwards’ input, lyrically MSP will obviously never be the same again.
