You only need to watch two scenes in this movie:
1. The news anchor rumble
2. Afternoon Delight montage
Everything else was forgettable.
An ensamble cast of nearly all my favorite British actors in a charming and heartwarming romantic comedy. Even my fiance, who doesn’t care for mushy chick flicks liked this movie.
How brilliant is Johnny Depp? I’m more and more impressed with him as an actor. Fashioning Jack Sparrow after Keith Richards was a freaking stroke of genuis. Looking forward to the sequel!
I don’t know how many times we played the scene of the playoff game with the team in BDSM gear, but it still makes me giggle thinking of it. A little reindition of “My Milkshake” always gets a good laugh, too. I was horrified at how funny I found this collection of sophomoric humor. It’s a guilty pleasure.
Never realized I had a fantasy about Babara Streisand as a sex therapist until this movie. Brilliant! Talk about some unlikely casting.
I love weird movies, but this was crap. Phillip Seymour Hoffman and William H Macy are two of my favorite actors, but I was soooooooooo disappointed in this film. Perhaps it was the Tom Cruise cooties that ruined it for me.
That’s three hours of my life I’ll never get back.
Anyone who has ever done time in a cubicle working for a nameless corporation should easily relate to this movie. How many of us went to college not knowing what we wanted to do, or worse yet, knowing what we wanted to do and selling out for a temp job that we’re still working 5 years later? This movie is a wake up call for everyone living a beige existence, gophering in gray cubicle world and longing to be somewhere else. You are not alone! Unite and burn your TPS reports! Take baseball bats to faulty printers! And by god, don’t you dare lay a pinky finger on my stapler.
