A question I have about "The Good Shepherd (2006)" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

[SPOILERS]

What exactly does “tie your shoes” mean? Is it like washing your hands of someone? Why did he tie the man’s shoes? What was the message he was sending? Obviously he knew what was coming in the near future, right?

Which side arranged that that incident before the wedding? Was it the father?

3 3/4 stars — 2 years ago

If another actor were the lead it would get 4 stars but its Denzel. When Denzel’s the lead I have higher expectations for the film. Usually he does an excellent job picking scripts. I is a good story but a confusing one. There were parts that simply made no sense. Still it was good- pretty good, but not great.

A story about the last time I consumed "The Day After" — 2 years ago

The first time I watched this movie, I only saw the first 3/4 of it. Then my mother sent me and my brothers to bed. Watching it wasn’t anywhere near as frightening or depressing this time.

This isn’t a genre I normally listen to but I really like Pink Floyd. It just mellows me right out.

A story about "Memoirs of a Geisha (Widescreen Two-Disc Special Edition)" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I didn’t like the first part of the movie but we all know why. Those parts where very different from the book. After it got passed the parts I’d read I enjoyed the story more. I’ll give it three and a half stars. If I hadn’t read any of the book I’d probably given it 4.

Why I want to consume "Memoirs of a Geisha (Widescreen Two-Disc Special Edition)" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I’m on page 79 of the book. I was planning to watch the movie after but whenever I do that I always end up being disappointed. The movies can never measure up to what I’m seeing in my imagination. Nor can they cram all the details of the books into two hours. So rather than set myself up for disappointment, I decieded set the book aside for the night (which wasn’t easy) and watch the movie. So we’ll see how it goes.
