Why I recommend "Kingdom of Heaven (Widescreen Edition)" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I loved this movie! There was something about the honor and code that the hero displayed that made him quite formidable. I have to agree that some plot lines were a tad predictable, it did start out a bit slow and it was quite gory in some scenes, but the end was absolutely amazing. It’s on my favorite list of 2005.

If you liked King Arthur, Troy, Tristan&Isolde, and A Knight’s Tale, then you will probably like Kingdom of Heaven.

The Classic — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I’m rereading the Julie Garwood classics and The Bride was my first Highland story and still has a special place in my heart. Favorite quote….”She started 3 wars in the first week.”

That is our feisty heroine!

Definitely a must read if you are into hunky Highlanders.

Why I recommend "Every Breath You Take" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Not only are the Farrells and the Benedicts (from Paradise and Perfect respectively) featured in this, Mitchell and Kate’s story gripped me the same way Perfect did. Mitch is soooo similar to Zach it’s ridiculous and Kate…well, that is the girl next door, Julie Mathison! All the elements that made Perfect such a great book were in this new installment, and JM explored a few other tangents as well.

“How can two people, know each other for only 6 days, and still have so much pain of loss three years later?”

Read the book to find out!

Dageus is Worthy... — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

Dageus is totally worthy of being a MacKelter. Even though he has to deal on a daily basis with the 13 druids of the Unseelie, he still manages to find a great love, and makes the ultimate sacrifice. Adam Black is in this story in full force, as well as all the other mythical characters of the Seelie.

Although Kiss of the Highlander was the groundwork, Dark Highlander is one of my all time favorites. If you like romance, time travel, Highlanders and mythical lore, then this book is for you.

Why I recommend "Kiss of the Highlander" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

There is something about this story that has gripped me from the very beginning. Once again Moning manages to captivate and titillate from the very first page. Drustan is the dreamy MacKelter Highland laird, holder of the secrets of the Druids, and lost in a sleep enchantment that was unwittingly broken by Gwen, a scientist who was in Scotland trying to shake up her blase life.

She helps him, saves him from a fate worse than death, travels back and forth through time, and in the end realises that love is the greatest gift of all. This is the foundation book for the MacKelter legacy, so if you love any of the others, Immortal, Dark, Touch and the soon to be released yet unknown title, then I recommend this as your starting point.

I give it 5 stars, have read it over and over and over and over and over again. The story never ceases to enchant me.

A story about "Duke And I, The" — 3 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I’ve read the whole Bridgerton’s series before, but in anticipation of the last book (Gregory’s!) coming out in a few months, I’ve decided to read the whole series all over again. What can I say, I love Julia Quinn!
