A story about "Cally's War" — 1 year ago
This is pure pap. I set it down about a quarter of the way through just before spring semester, but will continue with it soon. Hack and Slash sci-fi style.
I'm currently reading 9 books, listening to 0 albums, watching 1 movie, eating and drinking 0 food items, and consuming 1 other thing.

This is hands down The best history textbook I’ve ever read in its entirety.
A decent and thorough book, although it gets repetitious in a few places.
This was an excellent read! Specifically about rhetoric, of course, but extremely interesting for anybody interested in learning the basics of different philosophical movements in the western world through history, as these movements all were made of people trying to understand how we communicate with each other effectively.
My daughter and I had a weird coincidence last night. It was getting too late for any gaming, so we decided to watch a movie. She wanted to watch ‘something freaky’, so we watched The Dark, which fit the bill pretty well. At first I thought the woman who played the mother in the movie was the same woman who played Rose in Doctor Who, although Rose definitely looked younger. In any case, I checked the credits to see who the woman was who played the mother, and it was Maria Bello. Never heard of her. Strangely enough, my daughter is now completely ‘freaked out’ and does not under any circumstances want to go downstairs and go to bed. So we aimlessly look for another movie – of a lighter theme – to watch. I come across The Jane Austen Book Club and remember that I was interested in it when I first read a review in the paper months ago. It just so happens that out of the hundreds of movies I could have chosen, I picked another movie with Maria Bello in one of the main roles, (She plays Jocelyn). Weird!
I have a fairly decent grasp of grammar, and this is a great book to learn from. HOWEVER…I feel as though my fairly decent grasp of grammar is being foiled by all the terminology that gets thrown about throughout the book faster than you have the time to understand what they’re talking about. This class is becoming more difficult than I thought it would be.
this was really cool. There are a few areas where you can definitely pick out the improvements, and they look nice. I still miss Deckard’s narration though; I always felt that it gave a more intimate feel to the movie where you were going along with it instead of just being an observer.
