A story about "Cryptonomicon" — 3 years ago
I like Stephenson, so this was difficult. I loved the book all the way to the last two chapters. The ending is SO DANG LAME that it goes some distance to ruining the entire book.
I'm currently reading 9 books, listening to 0 albums, watching 1 movie, eating and drinking 0 food items, and consuming 1 other thing.

You know, I was really expecting this book to be good, and was really looking forward to digging into it. Yes, it’s historical fiction; and Yes, in fiction there Must be artistic license – but good grief…some of it was just ridiculous and in a couple instances flat out crude. When I began reading it, I liked it. I liked the writer’s style and found the characters intriguing. Before I finished it, I was Hating it. This is one of the few books I never bothered to finish.
Awesome! Living in Minnesota, I really appreciated the research made for this and all the other Sherlock books written by Millett.
I thought this was a great book. I loved the footnotes. I loved the characterization, and the dialog.
This book was so beautifully written. Awesome read. I’m a Big fan of the Sagas, and this is the best modern ‘saga style’ book I’ve come across.
I can’t stand Ayn Rand’s constant and ridiculous stick-man arguements. Her books are way over-blown IMO.
A must-read for Any pulp or Conan fan. This woman reminds me of my wife…
I thought this to be the most excellent personal meditation guide I have ever come upon.
It’s a Great retelling of the Neibelungenleid, and the Volsunga Saga in general.
