I decided to start on some short stories, and the first story in this book affected me so much that I cried. I can’t remember when that last happened to me, if ever. Sergeant Chip is definitely a short story I will remember for a long time.
The other stories in this book were good, too. :)
I would say this game is on par with Ocarina of Time for N64. That’s saying a lot. :)
I really enjoyed this book! I am starting to like Chalker more and more.
It was good! I will keep a lookout for more books by this author. I especially liked his take on AIs and shunts.
This was much better than I expected! I definitely recommend it for a quick, satisfying read.
I really enjoyed this story, but I have noticed that Bear’s style of writing is to use few commas; this sometimes makes the writing confusing as well as making it seem like the sentences are run-ons.
I really, really like this book. I love how the main character is less intelligent than her brother, and not in the cliche “oh, he is smart so he just knows more” way… It’s hard to explain. I would definitely read more about this universe, as the book couldn’t afford to focus on too many things, and gave tantalizing glimpses of its possibilities.
This was great! There were a few stories that I recall reading elsewhere, though… maybe from another collection?
This gave me a brief hope for the future.
