I believe that Gwynne is becoming the “Writer of the Secret Sisters”. Sisters who are good people otherwise, but they have some secret or something that they shield it from the ones that truly love them; You have this woman, Jackie Parkton, who has a Ph.D. nothing wrong with that; Her mother dies and her father wipes out his own savings to take of his late wife’s medical bills; with a medical crisis of his own, Jackie steps in and works at an exclusive all male club at night(after her regular job at a magazine) serving drinks to the clientele to pay for that expense. It is there that she meets hotelier Warren HOlcomb, who also has a club in Harlem for the kids that live there. The two omeet, fall in love despite of Jackie’s “secret” and stay in big time bliss until the bubble bursts. Great story.

I love this ESPECIALLLY with some vanilla ice cream; oh, and that is good.

If you ever felt that you were in a place in your life where one part was doing great and the other wasn’t, or where you feel that perhaps Mr Right isn’t there and yet, someone out of the blue comes into your life changing things despite your cautions, then THIS is the book for you.

I haven’t seen the latest edition to this movie but some time ago, I ran across the original and fell in love with it; Far as I’m concerned, I’m down with this no matter what.

It’s been over 20 years since I’ve read this book, but I never forgot it; This girl was really troubled and lived a full life in as little as 20 something years; What I couldn’t forget was when Nancy was 2, and she hemmed up the repair man at her parent’s house and he had to get help to get her off him; Then, it seems as though it was rare to see a little girl so bad, but now, I do; Interesting book.

I grew up on this, and still make it from time to time; part of my regular food staple.

One of the most inspiring books that will allow you to have ideas to make a living and not have a regular 9 to 5; I had the book for years but misplaced it on my move.

this is great solo, with ginger ale, with kool aid and sprite, with sprite and with other concotions to make it happen.

I had some about a month ago when my brother came to Mobile to visit from NYC; we stopped at the local ice cream store and I had one of these; Oh, I don’t indulge too often, but when I do, it’s worth the trip.

I bought this book and to be honest, I didn’t want to read another woman done wrong by a man book again but after I sold it, I reconsidered and now I am reading it and it’s a great read.
