This is by far my favorite book of all time. I read this book in 10th grade…and I fell in love. I love the description of the book and I am now obsessed with one of the protagonists Sydney Carton! I have a lithograph from the 1800s of him in my room and I have a 19th century copy of A Tale of Two Cities, alas not a first edition (yet!!). I admire Sydney Carton so much for his self-sacrificial nature and I believe that he is the most noble character in fiction. He did a thing most people would never even dream of doing. I am reading “A Far Better Rest” (allen) which goes into further depth of Sydney Carton’s life. It is interesting too but is in no way A Tale of Two Cities!
