Sienna Miller is the best thing about this movie. She plays a spunky writer, and she’s simply heavenly to look at.

Sienna Miller is the best thing about this movie. She plays a spunky writer, and she’s simply heavenly to look at.
What’s most surprising about this book is the Benedictine monk that acts as the moderator/interviewer, Father Laurence. He is very open-minded and accepting of other viewpoints, and he interprets the Bible metaphorically, as opposed to literally, which is extremely refreshing.
I’m sorry, but the dalai lama is not the best writer. He tends to ramble and can’t resist name-dropping.
What I found most interesting about this book is its insight into the nature of Buddhism. It’s much less like a religion and more like a philosophy. It’s very analytical, questioning, and open minded. Fundamentalist Christians should give these attitudes a try.
So far, it’s so-so. The best episode by far is the one by Harlan Ellison about the man with the glass hand.
You’ve got to love their computer sound effect: clacking a bunch of sticks together.
They should have stuck with the half-hour format. It worked for the Twilight Zone.
