A lot of this movie’s criticism is that it is “slow” and not very “gory.” But horror movies don’t have to be fast-paced and mind-numbingly gruesome to be good. Perhaps it’s just our collective loss of our attention spans…
The suspense was very-well built. The sounds effects were great, and I loved how sometimes the camera was from the perspective of the killer but not always, so it gave a kind of off-kilter feeling over all.
I’m a little curious about the remake, but it probably did away with all the things that made this movie interesting.
