Although it is a good book, and Pynchon is an excellent writer, thats what it is wishy-washy——not in that it is just “so-so” but that it is almost completely indecipherable.

I read Kaku’s 2005 book “Paralell Worlds” before I read this. But after reading it I liked the way he presented the subject matter so much that I went back and read this. If you liked this then you will like Paralell Worlds as well, even though the subject matter is more or less an update of this stuff there is definitely a lot that has changed in the theoretical physics field. I recommend both of his books to anyone who is even mildly interested in the subject, I think you will be more interested after reading this.
Or if you just want to broaden your view on reality, read this, or take some good acid, or do both.

If you’re interested in physics at all, especially the theoretical side, and you’re not a physics or science major: This and Kaku’s earlier book “Hyperspace” are the perfect books. One could have barely any knowlede of physics, and after reading this, it will certainly change the way you percieve reality in some way or another.
