NOT WORTH CONSUMING

This glorifies bossiness. It is not helpful in teaching kids how not to be bossy, in fact I think it shows them exactly how to be bossy with no repercussions. I returned this book to the library the very next day.

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is another book that my son just wants me to read over and over again to him. He is starting to get a sense of his different body parts. He comes up to me patting his stomach and says Bell, bell and then laughs. He can always make me smile and that is in another book we are reading all about teeth. ;)

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

This was not of the same quality of her other books. I just couldn’t get into it. The plot of the story got lost in her description of things. She would go on and on about everything, that I could never figure out who was who and what the hell was supposed to be happening. I finally gave up as I had checked it out of the library twice and extended my limit of renews both times. Just not one of her better books, but then again not all can be great.

A review of "Everyday Commitments: Choosing a Life of Love, Realism, and Acceptance" — 1 year ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I checked this out of the library, but it will be a book that I go out and buy. Yeah some of it is common sense, but when I get stressed out with everyday life of go, go, go it is nice to have someplace to turn to as a reminder that life was meant to be enjoyable and by following the steps in this book it definitely does make my life more enjoyable.

A story about "Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street? (Beginner Books(R))" — 1 year ago

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

This story made no sense. It starts off with Elmo liking books and reading and then he goes outside to fly a kite and goes around the world and into outerspace on his kite and then when he gets back to earth with his busted up kite he is so proud he can read books aloud. There is no connection to his books and his kite adventure. It’s almost like this whole book was a real bad misprint of two separate stories. One story at the beginning and the end, and a separate story in the middle. I can’t believe a book as bad as this one got the Cat in the Hat seal on it for beginner books.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I saw this a long time ago and just rewatched it last night. I didn’t remember it being so cheesy, but it was still enjoyable and worth watching because it is part of movie history.

The Comfort of Our Kind — 1 year ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

What a great story! I enjoyed this book so much, I was upset when I finished it because I didn’t want the story to end. I laughed and reminisced at my own Walt Disney adventure days. Growing up Catholic, I got a real kick out of the idea of a nun marrying a cartoon guy and raising her kids to be the Army of Saints here on earth. This was a delightful book that was not predictable! (read the book to get the joke) This is a definite reread kind of book for me. I mean how can you go wrong with a book about a nun, a cartoon guy, a deal with God, a bet with the Devil, Walt Disney World, and the Army of Saints. Genius!

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is a cute story and I like that it shows children out trick or treating, so my son will understand his first halloween better. I did have to explain some of the things to him because through out the book the children are scared. He was too young to pick up on the subtle cuteness of what they were scared of. This would be better suited for an older child.

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is a very cute, very young child friendly halloween book. My 1yr old son loves this book. It has a witch, a skeleton, a pumpkin, a mummy, a ghost, a bat, and a cat, but is not scary at all and it even has a happy ending. Lots of great rhyming. A perfect halloween book for young ones.
