This was not his (Rufus Sewell) best movie. It’s not that the acting was that bad, but the storyline was just way out there.

Spoilers

Wife goes mad over loss of her son, husband tries to comfort wife and bring her back to reality by indulging her madness, wife leads husband into jungle inhabited by killer children and watches them kill him with no remorse, then lets all the children feel her up as she laughs madly, the end. It was really stupid!

I finally gave up. I just can’t torture myself with this crap any longer. I hate the storyline, I am not fond of the writing style, and I absolutely despise the characters. I can’t read more than ten pages in a sitting because it just bores me to tears. My time can be better spent with better books.

This was an interesting take on the lore of the holy grail. I throughly enjoyed it! I hate to admit it, but I really looked forward to the steamy romantic parts in the book too. I am also looking forward to reading more from this author.

The Lace Reader

I was so glad to read at the end of the book that there would be a sequel book in 2009. This had a great twist at the end that kinda left me reeling putting all the facts together. I truly was not expecting the outcome. It will be interesting to see where this author takes this character next.

This book is a mystery about psychics reading lace, abuse and it’s effects, Salem MA, witches then and now, witch hunts then and now.

This book was an average mystery until the twist at the end was revealed, making it an exceptional one!
