WORTH CONSUMING!

Immerses you in the world of tribal Amazonians people, scientific and mystic at the same time. Have read it dozens of times – and even tried to recommend it to Terence McKenna (who very gently pointed out that Mr. Plotkin was a friend of his!)

WORTH CONSUMING!

My second Quammen book, after Song of the Dodo. Its less technical than the other – which is disappointing, but its a good narration and provides a lot of viewpoints, and the issues associated with maintaining predation populations.

A story about "Almost French: Love and a New Life in Paris" — 4 years ago

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

WORTH CONSUMING!

mystery story from an interesting pov, I found the reading rhythm a little awkward, but at the same time it aptly frames the mental processes behind the narration.
