Enjoyable pop-science type book that consistently makes me feel very, very stupid. I’ve been reading this on and off for ages. It’s hard to get through.
Another extremely enjoyable read from Atwood, skillfully weaving three seemingly disparate storylines spanning both ends of a life together.
Preparation reading for my trip to China in September.
Quirky collection of short stories that are both entertaining and on the whole pretty depressing.
Absolutely hilarious collection of essays looking at pop-culture, music, sport and sex. Anyone that can write an entire essay on why porn is the single most important thing on the internet wins in my book.
Latest dose of sci-fi. Raises a stack of moral issues that we’re probably going to have to deal with soon enough.
Indepth look at brands and corporate culture. Heavy read, definitely not bedside table material, but both and eye-opening and interesting read.
Read “A Fire Upon the Deep” ages ago and really loved it, this was almost as good. Vinge has huge ideas and his worlds are always fascinating.
On the home stretch now. Very much the lead up to the grand finale. Some interesting new developments that i’m curious to see how he resolves.
