A story about "Strange Little Girls" — 3 years ago
Tori is one of my favorite singers, but even I cannot get behind this concept/cover album.

John Waters is a delightful writer. His books read like his films – fun, fabulous, delightfully subversive, and always cheery.

All the dirty exploits from the early days of Hollywood. Rape, murder, affairs, scandals…they are all here. Anger’s writing whispers the tales knowingly into your ear. A quick, fun, fascinating read.
Fascinating read. I’m somewhat obsessed with Warhol and his Factory. This doesn’t disappoint.
Penn has a great tempo to his writing – it mimics the way he speaks. Frenetic, intelligent, and humorous. The pop culture references are fun and almost make it a game. The plot is a little weak and the clues come together far too neatly, but plot is secondary here, as the characters and the writing style are the stars.
Not as much fun as his fiction, but still enjoyable. Sadly, the most fascinating story is the first one, about the sex festival… and that is the shortest story/essay in the book, and offers the least amount of explanation.
Chuck’s fiction is far superior, but if you are a fan, it is definitely worthwhile
Like all of Creation’s cinema books, this one is in-depth and fascinating. This one is a little more critical, a little more “text book-ish,” exploring cannibal films from an anthropological standpoint.
This book made me want to run away and join the circus
I wanted so badly to like this, but I found it average at best. A little boring. I started another Ellis book, “Glamorama” and fear that it might just be Ellis’s style that I don’t dig.
