A story about "The Sacred and Profane Love Machine (Penguin Books)" — 3 years ago
Unfortunately I had to take it back to library before I finished.
In august I’ll go get it again!
I'm currently reading 3 books, listening to 0 albums, watching 0 movies, eating and drinking 0 food items, and consuming 0 other things.
MegaraTheDiary hasn't consumed anything recently.

This is one of the most beautiful EP’s written in spanish ever. It is amazing how the versatility of Abel Hernández after creating Migala and Emak Bakia lands into a sweet, melancholic 5 song ep that renovates my faith in spanish pop.
It is a lonely situation:
Office space, this album in a very low volume by my computer. Co-worker comes to my desk and makes a face: what are you listening to? And I say Esther Phillips.
She cringes her nose and says: she sings awful.
I smile and say, yea.. (but what can you do, when you are listening to a voice this different and this emotional and someone comes and breaks the spell?)
Why is sadness such a beautiful thing?
Yes, it is predictable. Sort of the same. Sort of an effort to not be a let down. Yes it’s been long awaited and long awaited albums can be either a total disappointment or complete fabulousness. Both are ok. You got the attention.
But It’s when a long awaited album comes and goes with no one noticing it that kills the creator.
This you will notice because you will want to listen to it until it bores you. yeah yeah yeah’s are on the safe side :)
I got the original dvd for my birthday. I had a pirate copy (yeah.. someone arrest me), but having this little box in my hand with all the glorious colors has been the perfect gift.
I watch it at night, in bits, sometimes I choose a scene, or pause it and let it glow in the dark. I suffer from anxiety and this is my anti-anxiety medicine!
Songwriting at it’s best. Autheticity and charm, cleverness and perfect lyrics!
Love him!
This is one of my favorite bands ever. I’ve obsessed over them, over their perfect crafted capsules of sound and their wonderful variation of textures. They are the coolest!
I don’t watch too much tv but if one can see the albums that I’ve consumed and then checks out the soundtrack to this show it will make sense.
It is a very well written show. I love the actors.
Tanya Donelly is one of my everlasting heroines. I still haven’t forgotten the excitement of listeining to the first Belly album and then her wonderful voice shining and standing out in her solo albums.
