A story about "Grapes" — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

While I am strictly a green grape kind of girl, my boyfriend brought home from the market some champagne grapes, which look like very very tiny purple grapes. At first I was like,” Um, hello, they’re purple.” But they’re small, so I figured, heck, I’ll try one. Such wonderfully sweet and tart flavor! So next time you’re wandering around the fruit section, keep a look out for these guys, you won’t regret it!
~P.S. When we last visited the market, I told the shopkeeper how much we loved them, and he told us they are also known as black corinth or Zante currant, as a fun fact.

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is my favorite Hikawa Kiyoshi song. Considered the “Prince of Enka”, which generally appeals to old-lady types, Kiyoshi is just too cute to ignore, and has a really great voice. This placed in the Oricon (think Billboard) Top 100 for 2005, and if I recall properly, the top selling Enka single of 2005 also.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Perfume is a great trio out of Hiroshima, and Computer City is one of their essential singles. The music video is also highly recommended, especially the subtited copy on YouTube if you don’t like looking up lyrics! Just know that almost all of their songs are fairly abstract _

WORTH CONSUMING!

I love Perfume! and Electro World is my favorite song, and the music video is also wonderful to watch. I’m a picky person with much, but it’s quite tempting to lable this my favorite song!

WORTH CONSUMING!

The only song on this album I have ‘consumed’ is the updated version of “Cutie Honey” which is an essential track for female’s in the karaoke clubs. Obviously less dated sounding that previous re-recording’s of this classic theme song, it’s a good song I never seem to get tired of.

Find a Better Book — 2 years ago

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

I found this book quite frustrating. It was inaccessible due to Hills’ use of British colloquialisms, which can be accetable in journalistic writings (which is Hills’ occupation), but not in published materials, at least, not if they want to be taken seriously. His opinions are more often than not completely unveiled, and overall the book is wordy in the worst way possible. Aside from the solid facts in this book, which I am most confident can be found in much more pallitable sources, this book was a waste of my vaction time. I do now, however, understand how this book can be causing so much uproar in Japan, as to being translated and published, and I most sincerely hope that this never makes it on the Japanese market. Japan has enough problems to deal with without some checky foreign journalist foisting this sad pass of a book onto the Japanese people.
