I had no idea what this movie was about when I started watching. I had one “wtf????” moment after another starting from the nudist colony to . . . well, everything. Still, it was intriguing I guess. Weird but good if not a bit over the top.

I agree that the support cast was great but the leading actress – Anne Hathaway – was not a good fit to play Jane. I didn’t really like Keira Knightly in Pride and Prejudice but she was better in that movie than Anne was in this. Still, I love anything Jane Austin related and the scenery, costumes, storyline were good.

Slow in the beginning . . . thought the love scenes were a little much (okay! we get it, they were in love!) which is odd because usually I don’t have a problem with that . . . end was good, nice twist. Overall, just “okay” for me.

I adored this movie . . . hits some pretty sensitive areas and has a positive outcome . . . the soundtrack was great too!

Distrubing yet fascinating

It was a slow movie but I thought that it was still really good. And just one day after I finished it came the news that Heather Ledger died! How sad! I thought he was quite good in this film.

and I suppose I can see why due to her horrible husband situation . . . But I came away from this movie uplifted AND inspired to bake some pies! My favorite of the year so far.

. . . saw the end coming from a million miles away . . . while I was watching this I had that sense that I had seen it before even though I know I hadn’t. I think it’s just one of those predictable chick flicks . . .

pretty crude but also pretty funny in that “takes me back to 7th grade” humor kind of way.

I can only describe the way I feel about this film after I watched is “empty”. I didn’t “get” it. Seemed pointless. I hope my friends never end up like those people.
